The Nutcracker Holiday Spectacular

The Nutcracker Holiday Spectacular

The Annual Nutcracker Holiday Spectacular returns to stage in December featuring all of the magic and spectacle you have come to expect to from an In Motion performance.

This year we will feature the islands first Sensory Friendly production of the Nutcracker called the "Petite Performance". The show will be modified for individuals that find regular performances too loud, too bright or too busy. This includes, but isn’t limited to, people with autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing disorders, anxiety or other cognitive or physical disabilities. We are thrilled to welcome all to join us for this special performance.

This "Petite Performance" will take these special needs into consideration and will include a partial cast with fewer pieces, presented in a shorter format at 2:00pm on Saturday December 16th.

Feel the Christmas Spirit with In Motion's fantastic presentation of The Nutcracker. See In Motion take to the stage and wow your family with this Holiday Spectacular.

“Energy, enthusiasm and excitement were key elements in the Holiday Spectacular”

“Altogether it was a clever, witty, bubbly, entertaining evening and Lizz Pimentel and her staff are to be commended for producing such a varied and challenging programme” Jennifer Hind, Royal Gazette

New Performance 2024

In Motion is thrilled to announce today the formation of the IN MOTION DANCE COMPANY (IMDC).

Formerly known as Concepts in Motion, the In Motion Dance Company is made up of our P+(performance plus) Junior and Senior Dance Company Members.

Concepts In Motion was formed fifteen years ago as a way to allow our professional level dancers a way to experience and be a part of a fully functional professional dance company. Over the past fifteen years we have strived to provide opportunities to enrich the lives of our pre-professional level dancers through professional level performances and workshops with acclaimed choreographers and teachers.

This change is the next evolution of our company and brings with it some exciting changes and initiatives for the upcoming year. The company will continue to participate in local performances, the Christmas Parade, the Nutcracker Holiday Spectacular, Nuvo dance competition in Orlando, Dance Showcase 2014 and Summer Dance Intensive to name a few.

The IMDC made its first stage debut this holiday season for the Annual Nutcracker Dance Showcase on December 13th and 14th at the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium.

In Motion Dance Company in conjunction with the In Motion School of Dance offers over $45,000 worth of annual scholarships to worthy dancers. Dancers are offered free classes and workshops with local and overseas choreographers, in order to assist them in developing their dance technique and performance experience.

Concepts is perhaps the best Bermuda Festival show this year. The Concepts In Motion show has to be the most invigorating performance I have seen so far from this year’s Bermuda Festival. Walking out of the Ruth Seaton James Centre I was tingling after the show’s magnificent finale.
— SARAH LAGAN
Wow! The opening night of Concepts In Motion was a performance of pure class. The stars themselves, with their swift mobility – made such complex and intricate routines appear so trivial – one could miss a stunt with the blink of an eye.

WIPS – STUDENT CHOREOGRAPHY SHOWCASE

Date: TBD

WIPS (Works In Progress) gives our students an opportunity to try their hand at choreography and working and setting pieces on their peer groups. It is a great chance for dancers to explore choreography.
